Fez – Merzouga 2 days trip

Day 1 – Fes – Ilfrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

Meet in Fes and drive southward to Ifran and Azrou in the Middle Atlas mountains, stop in the Cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in nature. We’ll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. Taking in views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, continue our journey through the Ziz valley to Rissani and merzouga your camel will be awaiting you. After a glass of mint tea, you mount your camel and, guided by an experienced camel man, start your safari to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you will spend your night under the stars in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will spend the night.

Day 2- Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Medilt – Fes

In the morning you can get up early, take a walk over the sand Dunes and watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 50 km from Merzouga. We take camel back to the hotel , after breakfast ,shower and Rest, we’ll start our tour back to fes, through ,ziz valley ,berber villages,middle atlas the middle atlas,we will arrive to Fes in the afternoon for the end of the trip.
